Flexibility

What I have learned these past weeks…

A lot does not turn out as expected. There are some things you may work hard for, but in the end, you find out that it just will not work. You learn to be flexible. You learn to adjust, to give in, to make way for something possibly better. But you still feel like all your hard work was put to waste. That the time, energy, and patience put into what you have already accomplished was nothing more than an experience to learn from. I guess it’s okay. I learned anyway. It just scares me. What if after I accomplish something else, they would tell me to learn from it once more?  

You would think that after all this time I already am an expert at flexibility. It turns out I’m not.
